Disney's All-Star Sports Resort is one of three All-Star Resorts and adjoins the All-Star Music Resort on a vast 62 acre site in the Animal Kingdom Resort area and is just a short drive from Disney's Animal Kingdom and Disney's Hollywood Studios. ![]() Rating: 2.5 stars Address: 1701 West Buena Vista Drive, Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830 The All-Star Sports Resort is themed on different types of sports such as surfing, basketball, baseball, tennis and football and the 5 pairs of motel style three storey blocks are named after Surf's Up!, Hoops Hotel, Center Court, Touchdown! and Home Run Hotel. Giant replicas of surfboards, pennants, racquets, basket ball hoops, bats and football helmets decorate the whole of the resort and each room has a sports theme with images of athletes on the bedspreads. Rooms/SuitesThe rooms are small and fairly basic; there is no closet, just a clothes rail and a shelf in the bathroom, table and chair and a television. Standard rooms are around 260 square feet and will sleep 4 (plus a baby in a crib). Most rooms come with either a king-size bed or two double beds. There are two types of standard room; Standard Location and Preferred Location. With Preferred Location you are closer to the pool and guest facilities and hence have less distance to walk. Most of the Disney transportation buses stop at all the All-Star Resorts (only buses back from the Magic Kingdom stop at specific Resorts) so you can expect waits during peak seasons and at busy times of the day. DiningNone of the Value Resorts have table service restaurants but there is a quick-service End Zone Food Court serving a variety of American cuisine from five sports-themed restaurant outlets and a deli-style market. RecreationThere are two heated swimming pools, the main Surfboard Bay Pool with Team Spirits snack bar and the quieter basketball themed Grand Slam Pool. For smaller children there is a wading pool. The hotel also has an amusement arcade where the children can play a variety of video and pinball games in the Cinema Hall close to the Food Court. AmenitiesThe hotel offers a number of amenities including:
