Disney's Beach Club Resort

Overview

Disney's Beach Club Resort is styled on a late 19th-century New England seaside resort sitting on the shores of Crescent Lake.

The Beach Club Resort is adjacent to Disney's Vacation Club Beach Club Villas and Disney's Yacht Club Resort with which it shares some of its facilities including the mini water park, Stormalong Bay.

It is about a 10 minute walk (less than a mile) from the International Gateway entrance to Disney's Epcot theme park and about a 30 minute walk from Disney-MGM Studios.

If you don't fancy walking then both parks can be reached by boat.

Rooms/Suites

The accommodation in the Beach Club Resort is in a series of 3 to 5-storey buildings, decorated in blues and whites. Some rooms (but not all) have private balconies though some are small and those at ground level may have patios.

The rooms continue the seaside nautical theme with coral and turquoise checked carpets, striped curtains, metal scroll headboards, white wooden furniture and beach scene bedspreads and wallpapers.

Standard rooms will sleep 4 to 5 (plus a baby in a crib) on two queen beds and a day bed (some rooms are available with a king sized bed instead at no extra charge).

With the standard rooms, there are two views; Standard View overlooking the gardens and grounds or Water View overlooking Stormalong Bay (water park), Crescent Lake or the quiet pool.

The Deluxe rooms offer a bit of extra space and sleep 5 comfortably; available with Standard View.

There is also a range of Concierge Club rooms and suites (see sidebar for additional amenities).

The suites are available with either one or two bedrooms. The standard one bedroom suites sleep 3 and has a king-size bed plus a daybed sofa in the living area and a single bathroom. The rooms are separated by French doors. The Vice-Presidential (Nantucket suite) has a king-size bed, 1 1/2 baths (jacuzzi-style), a sofa and dining table in the living area, wet bar and an extended balcony and sleeps 2.

The standard two bedroom suites sleep up to 8. The master bedroom has a king-size bed and there are two queen-size beds plus a a daybed sofa in the second bedroom. There is also a daybed plus wet bar in the living area.

The Presidential suite (Newport suite) also has two bedrooms and can sleep 6. It has 2 baths with Jacuzzi in the master bath, separate living area, meeting room, fireplace, dining room and wet bar. The extended balcony gives views of Stormalong Bay and Crescent Lake.
