Disney's Beach Club Villas

The Beach Club Villas is adjacent to Disney's Beach Club Resort and Disney's Yacht Club Resort with which it shares some of its facilities including the mini water park, Stormalong Bay.

It is about a 10 minute walk (less than a mile) from the International Gateway entrance to Disney's Epcot theme park and about a 30 minute walk from Disney's Hollywood Studios.

If you don't fancy walking then both parks can be reached by boat.

You can also get to the Disney theme parks, water parks and Downtown Disney by Disney motor coach.

Across the Crescent Lake from the Beach Club Villas is Disney's Boardwalk Inn Resort and the Walt Disney World Dolphin and Walt Disney World Swan are also close by giving you access to plenty of additional entertainment and restaurants.

Rooms/Suites

The 205 villas have either a private porch or balcony and look out on to either gardens, lakes, or waterways. The theme is Cape May, New England with nautical inspirations and pastel shades.

Rooms are suitable for between 4 and 8 people.

All the villas have kitchens or kitchenettes (Studio villas) with multiple bedroom units from studio, one-bedroom up to two-bedroom (there are no three bedroom units).

Studios are around 365 square feet and will sleep 4. They come with a queen-size bed and a double sleeper sofa.

The one-bedroom villas are quite small at 726 square feet and also sleep 4. The Master Bedroom has a king size bed with its own master bathroom and whirlpool tub. In the living room there is a queen-size sofa bed and a dining area.

The two-bedroom villas are a lot bigger with 1083 square feet and will sleep up to 8. The Master Bedroom has a king size bed with its own master bathroom and whirlpool tub. In the second bedroom there is a either two queen-size bed or one queen-size bad and a double-size sleeper sofa. In the living room there is a queen-size sleeper sofa and there are up to three private balconies.

All villas have flat-screen TVs in the bedrooms and living rooms.

Dining

The Beach Club Villas share the restaurants with Disney's Beach Club Resort. The restaurants of Disney's Yacht Club Resort plus other nearby Disney resorts on Crescent Lake and the World Showcase restaurants at Epcot are only a few minutes away.

The Cape May Café offers an all-you-care-to-eat character dining breakfast hosted by Goofy and friends. In the evening, Cape May Café is home to a New England-style clambake buffet celebration with an assortment of fresh shellfish and other seaside favorites such as mussels, oysters, shrimps, barbecue ribs, chicken and prime rib beef.

The 1960s style Beaches & Cream Soda Shop serves hot dogs, burgers, soup, sodas and ice cream including the famous "Kitchen Sink Sundae" with ever flavor of ice cream in the place. At breakfast you can dine with Goofy and his friends.

If you are after a light snack to take out then the Beach Club Marketplace offers made-to-order sandwiches plus packaged sandwiches, salads, desserts and beverages or you can head for Hurricane Hanna's Grill by the Stormalong Bay water park where you can get burgers and hot dogs as well as a poolside full-service bar.

There are also two lounges offering appetizers and a full bar, the Rip Tide Lounge in the lobby and Martha's Vineyard Lounge next to the Cape May Café (only open evenings).

Recreation

One of the highlights of the Beach and Yacht Club Resorts is Stormalong Bay, a 3 acre mini water park complete with a beached shipwreck.

Stormalong Bay features the ShipWreck water slide, flowing rivers and sandy bottomed areas, a children's wading pool and water slide plus a 24 hour children's playground. Tubes etc. can be rented from a beach shack.

If you need somewhere a little calmer, then there is a separate quiet Beach Pool and several "hot tub" spas.

There is a white sandy beach along the Crescent Lake shoreline but you cannot swim in the lake as it is used for boating.

You can rent a Pontoon Boat, a Canopy Boat or Sea Raycer by Sea Ray from the Bayside Marina. Disney also offer specialty cruises such as the Albatross Treasure Cruise for children ages 4 to 10 and the IllumiNations Cruise where you can watch the spectacular evening laser and fireworks show at Epcot.

Tennis fans can play on one of two hard courts (racquets and balls are provided) whilst joggers and walkers can take advantage of the various jogging trails around Crescent Lake (0.8 mile loop) past five Epcot area Disney Resorts.

There is also a volleyball sand court and opportunities to go fishing (catch and release only).

Guests can take advantage of the Yacht Club's Ship Shape Health Club where you can work out on state-of-the-art exercise equipment like Nautilus and Hammer Strength exercise machines or enjoy a massage treatment or relax in a spa. There is also a steam room and sauna.

For children aged 4 to 12, there is evening supervised activities at the Sandcastle Club where they can play computer games and watch Disney movies plus dinner and snacks are provided.

There is a video game arcade, the Lafferty Place Arcade near the Beaches & Cream Soda Shop plus Midway Games at Wildwood Landing where you can play classic boardwalk games such as "Tin Can Knock Down".

In the Epcot area, there is one Disney moderate resort, Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort plus three Disney deluxe resorts, Disney's Boardwalk Inn, Disney's Yacht Club Resort and Disney's Beach Club Resort.

The BoardWalk

As well as the restaurants and bars, the BoardWalk complex also features a couple of nightclubs. Jellyrolls has a dueling piano bar where guests can sing along and the Atlantic Dance Hall (you must be at least 21 to enter).

Unlike Disney's Pleasure Island (now effectively closed), there is no admission charge to the BoardWalk but there is a cover charge on the nightclubs themselves.
